If you ever sell your trademark, even if it's as a part of the sale of a business, you should separately assign the trademark so that you can file the assignment with the USPTO without filing your whole purchase agreement.  This Trademark Assignment form is used to assign the trademark rights together with the goodwill so as to satisfy the minimum requirements of a transfer for the purposes of trademark law along with the basic conditions of the USPTO.  This form has to be filed in conjunction with a trademark assignment recordation document, which you can also find on Free Legal Aid.
