Oklahoma law prohibits an

Oklahoma law prohibits an individual from remarrying within 6 months after their divorce is final, unless you remarry your former spouse. Violation of this law can result in up to three years in prison. However, if you marry in another state and live in another state during the 6 month period, you will not be violating the law as long as you adhere to the laws of that state. Be aware, however, that if you marry in another state and then return to Oklahoma before the 6 month period has elapsed, you may still be violating the law according to recent changes in Oklahoma law. Living with your significant other before the 6 month period has elapsed is also prohibited.
