Whether a father has an obligation to pay half of a child’s daycare costs in Indiana when custody is shared will depend on the formula used by the court. Typically, the court will consider each parent’s weekly gross income in addition to the cost of the daycare. Also, the court may examine which parent pays for health care costs and how much time each parent spends with the child.
